Chronicle (2012) is a found-footage sci-fi thriller about three Seattle high school seniors—the bullied Andrew (Dane DeHaan), his cousin Matt (Alex Russell), and popular Steve (Michael B. Jordan)—who gain telekinetic powers after discovering a mysterious underground object. As their powers grow, Andrew’s dark, abusive home life causes him to spiral, turning their fun into a violent, tragic fight for survival.
