The Fighter (2010) is a biographical sports drama that follows Micky Ward (Mark Wahlberg), a struggling boxer. Guided by his crack-addicted half-brother and trainer, Dicky Eklund (Christian Bale), and managed by his domineering mother, Micky’s career is stagnant. After a devastating loss, he is pushed by his new girlfriend to take control of his own path and ultimately defies the odds to win the world title.
